Except Snake cause nobody knows he exist cause he is basically a ninja, he traveled with the framed squad to help prove their innocence. They ended up blown the, one of their squad members was killed and the squad was framed for murder and terrorism. JOE and his partner was an female agent named Scarlett. Later when Scarlett had proof that the company Cobra was creating weapons she went with Snake Eyes and a squad to search inside one of their factories. So Scarlett's dad sacrificed himself to destroy the time machine but he made Snake promise swear that he will take care of Scarlett which is why Snake Eyes is always near Scarlett. When he returned to America, he became a mercenary and was hired by Scarlett's dad to destroy a cobra facilities because they were making a time machine and bio-organic monsters they destroyed the machines where they made the monsters but they set the facility on fire and was caving in. Jealous of that Storm Shadow tried to poison Snake but by accident poisoned the Hardmaster, trying to save him Snake slit his throat so he could breather but while doing that Storm saw and thought Snake killed him, he threw a shuriken and destroyed Snake's vocal cords which is why he never speaks. During one of Snake Eyes' training sessions, the Hardmaster expressed his desire for Snake Eyes to take over leadership of the Arashikage ninja clan instead of his nephew, Storm Shadow., Snake Eyes refused. Though Snake Eyes often attempted to throw matches in order that his friend should save face in front of his family, the Hard Master was aware of Snake Eyes' ruse, and knew him to be the true victor. Over time, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow became sword brothers, and unintentional rivals for the attention and favor of the Hardmaster, who liked pitting them against one another to test their considerable skills. Snake Eyes' ability to quickly learn skills especially impressed the Hardmaster. Over there he met White Shadow who is the nephews of the Hardmaster. In return, Snake Eyes went to study the ninja arts with the leader's family (The Hardmaster). He lived in Japan, and saved the daughter of the leader of the Arishakage.
